99.999% sure I'm making it. I'll have a truck full though. My wife is bringing one of her friends and I'm bringing a buddies son. Now I'm just figuring how to pay for it.

Your wife's friend wouldn't happen to be a cute female roughly 25 years of age would she? If so, she can ride with me.

Well, she is a female around 23. Well educated as she is working on her master's at Oxford University. As much as I would love to pawn her off; my wife says she is only average. Added pic from her fb page... never mind the hair thing and the guy is her younger brother.

    .......

I don't think I'm actually going to make it out. I ended up in Oklahoma City today for work and I'll be in Kansas City tomorrow morning and afternoon. That coupled with the wedding that's at 6pm tomorrow night will have me TOAST by Saturday morning.

Since I'm not going I might end up getting new tires. I had planned for this to be my last off road outing before I got the new tires but I might just go ahead with it. I've been meaning to fix the rear leaf pack squeak too so that might happen as well. Been a while since I've had a WHOLE Saturday to do anything I want :)

I think I'm going with 265/70/17 Duratracs. From what I've read they seem to be a common favorite and are fairly quiet. That's the largest size I can do on the stock suspension correct?

    I'm running Dynapro ATm's.

I forget why he doesn't like them, but he's like the only person on this site that doesn't lol. It's like me waging my war on plastidip...

Ugh dura fails. The only decent tire from good year is the MTR Kevlar. But I doubt you want anything that aggressive. Some hankook dynapro MTs or Cooper discovery STT. The all terrains of both the those company's are good too.

The duration tracs have bad puncture resistance, wear unevenly very fast if not roatated every 2500-3k miles, and just wear fast in this hot TX climate on our sandpaper concrete roads.

Robert I hope you have good luck with yours. They weren't for me

Well here's the deal. I've had the stock tires on my TRD sport for 45k and they've done well on and off road. I've only had one tire get low and all it required was some air to get me to the tire shop (found out there was a 6 inch piece of steel poking in the tire).

That being said, anything is sure to impress me over the stock shit.

And if Duratracs aren't that great, why does everyone seem to like them? What would you suggest for my use? I don't go offroading every weekend but when I do I really need the traction. I don't drive like an ass hat on the road so normal every day road traction is fine. And it should go without saying that I'd prefer not to sound like a jet engine going down the road so I can hear my stereo.
