Yeah, those Rubicons are pretty awesome.

I figure we'll be out there until 5 or so. Should have plenty of time to meet everyone, and run some of the trails with you guys.

The TCU vs Airforce game is happening at 7pm so I gotta make it back in time for that. That's my only constraint for the whole day lol

I have some rope (not a tow strap) that we can use in a bind. If someone has a tow strap that would be good to bring. I think I'm going to invent a little something to help with some high-center issues I remember having at certain parts there. I have an electric air compressor in the event we need it. I'm going to bring my cooler for drinks and just strap it down in the bed like I usually do.

Other than that, what else do you think we'd need?

I never leave home without my tow strap...It's nothing fancy and has hooks sewn in, but it will get the job done.

See the first post...Saturday October 23rd. Leaving the speedway Shell station at 35W and 114 at 8:45 so meet there around 8:30 or so. We will be at the park by 9:30.

I have a couple of straps in my truck. I also have hooks, and rings for the ends. Just need to put them on, and good to go.

I'll probably just bring my usual. Tools, extra parts, recovery gear, spare tire, snacks, and drinks(water). Remember, no adult drinks at the park.

I just remembered one more thing that I need to do before going out. Last time I was out there I ripped off my front skid plate, and bent it up pretty bad. I need to try to starighten that thing out enough to bolt it back on. At least until I get some new ones ordered.

There is still a weekend trip tentatively planned for the second weekend in November... so long as we all don't wreck our trucks and end up hating the place, it will be a go.

Hope you (and everyone else that can't make next weekend) can make it out!

Prerunners shouldn't have any problems. There are a variety of trail difficulties, and if you should get stuck there will be people there to pull you out.

I for one won't be taking on any extreme trails, or anything that looks like it's beyond me or my rig's capabilities. My truck's too new to break :)

I think I may try to make it out for the novemeber weekend trip. Never have taken my truck offroad, but thats why i traded the prerunner for the trd a year ago, so i could get into it a little bit. So I guess its time i do that. :turtleride:

The trails really arent that bad. As was stated, there are a variety of difficulties; kinda like a ski slope. The main things we'll have problems with are high centering and clearance issues. I've been out there twice and that's the stuff I've had trouble with.

I'd really like it if we got just a wee bit of rain about 5 days in advance. That way there might be a mud hole or two :D
