We discuss things, as we try to do what the members want. However, this needs to fall inline with the code of conduct as well. TW is much more loosley run than any other site. Hell.....I dont know of one site that wouldnt have nuked this thread at first post. That being said, People will always back out of a GB with the list, or without it. And with the list, someone might be more inclined to claim a death in the familly, when there might not have been. Too many ways to get around being put on it, and not enough to accurately monitor, or keep track of who gets put on it.

Cause we have control over what people do... When people can't police themselves someone has to step in. For TW that is the job we do for tcBob. We do take public opinion in account but then again, privately owned site doesn't mean democracy rules. Again, we took into consideration all the pertinent posts and thought about the "list". We feel that it will bring to much negativity to the site and considering that we decided against it.

I think Chris already covered this one... no need to pile on the BS. Let it go the point has been made.

Poor assumption on your part. Just because tcBob hasn't post in the thread doesn't mean he wasn't part of the conversation we as moderators had about this.

Truthfully I don't know why the thread doesn't just get closed after the decision is made.... no good can come from further conversation in it.

I voted no because I wouldn't want someone badgering me if I backed out. Simple as that.

How do y'all communicate when making decisions and how many mods are typically involved?

There are hidden moderator and probably admin forums that we don't see. They have their own ongoing conversations in there, usually, some of the funniest stuff around. Not sure if TW is a different level mod status or all euqal. Typically there are admin level mods and then just mods. Different abilities etc.

Respond for what, the decision is made by the powers that be. Is his response gonna change the decision...not likely.

Really or are you trolling me? I suck at the internet so I honestly want to know.

Another question, what is the difference in an admin and a mod?

Should I just pm a mod to find out so I don't thread jack further?

We have secret decoder rings that we aim at the sky, and hit a button on it. Then, we are transported to the Mod Island, and discuss the event in question. As to how many are involved, it depends on who all is drunk. This thread recieved almost all of us, but Tacomaman's batteries were dead on his ring, so, he was excused.

I'm not trolling you, that's how it's been on all of the sites I've been a mod on. Assume it's somewhat similar here. We also had messengers the mods could talk to each other throughout the day if wanted.

Edit: Magical transporting rings too ... of course.

An Admin is kinda like the Jedi Master, while the Mods are Aprentice jedi's.

Because I think it would be rude of us to do that without him getting a chance to see our decision and respond. I do want to close the thread.

Usually Admins can alter the site itself, change forums, sub forums and create new material whereas mods can only moderate the forums, ie: deleting post, banning users, editing etc.
