I could care less if my name ended up on a list like that. I think some people just sign up to sign up and then never pay. Other times the OP of a GB disappears into LALA land and a trip to Napa get's the same product for a little more $$ :D

If you say "i'm all in" then be the deciding factor in a price drop and back out. POST THEIR NAME ON THE WALL IN RED

Seems like a good idea, although I have never been in a GB yet.

But what if someone legitly needs to get out. Like family troubles or something? Then they are out on the blacklist and called 'scums of TW'?

I am guess if that was a reason, they wouldnt go on the list, just thought I would say it though. Voted yes

So....what if someone enters the GB with all intentions of purchase, but something unfoseen comes up, and they have to back out? Do they get thrown on the list?

    I voted no, here's why

I haven't been a part of a group buy on TW yet, I would like to in the future. My concern is the vetting of the information. Who does it and how can you make sure you don't fuck up someone's reputation with bad information? Reputation seems to go a VERY long way on these forums. I haven't been around long but I'm trustworthy and would only bail for a damn good reason. My good reason may not be good to you, or it may be perfectly valid ... who decides? The OP?

I would vote yes if we had some sort of system with checks built in. Maybe contact a person who has bailed on a group buy and ask them why. Give them two weeks to respond via PM with a why. Then that why could get run by a group of people, or voted on. Pending the results of a public poll the name could be added or thrown out.

Example: I research and decide I want to buy a new "gizmo" for my truck made by supplier X. There are other suppliers but X has a solid rep and the price is right. X also happens to be a TW favorite. I see a group buy and sign up fully intending to purchase gizmo. The group buy is 1 month out. Three weeks later supplier X has a rash of unhappy customers and suddenly gizmo's are being produced at a less quality rate then when I agreed to buy three weeks ago. Something has happened at supplier X and things have changed, people are upset about it on this site and complaining. Am I obligated to stay in the group buy regardless of the changing situation? Hypothetical of course .. but worth thinking about why someone may bail on a group buy, not to mention unforseen emergencies etc.

I guess I just don't trust 1 OP, or one group of buyers to judge every situation correctly.
