any passengers should be happy now that you have an air bag for them
i recall this one girl sometime last decade that freaked out when she found my truck had no passenger air bag to protect her
she couldn't handle it and that was the end of that :(

A little more digging and more looking made me realize actually how Rusty this truck is, makes me sad, so im going to get her up and running and drive it through the winter and maybe next year until I can find a replacement from down south that is clean.

I have and hate the 60/40 bench seats. Can't find a generic seat cover for 20 bucks like regular buckets or a bench smh

I dont believe it was, the guy said he washed it religiously when he had it but it sat outside for a couple years and he said that's when it started rusting

Got some bad news today, my mechanic took the head off to diagnose the low compression. The idiot that changed the spark plugs must have cross threaded one of them and forced it in ruining the integrity of the threads, along with finding a burnt valve. He tried retapping the hole but there is so much slop in the threads now he is suggesting it a better idea to replace the head to resolve the low compression. The water pump was also leaking coolant so that is being replaced along with the timing belt. He found a used head that will be inspected next week, fingers crossed it passes. My bill is going to be around $2200.00, more than I wanted to have to put into it but I’m in it now so I might as well see it through.

Live and learn, trying to keep a good attitude about it all. Sucks though, I’ve been without wheels for 3 weeks already and with thanksgiving next week I won’t be driving for another 2 weeks.

I’m just hoping the suspension is sound enough to drive so I can recoup all the money I’m throwing at it right now.
