Bringing back the flare if my fender flares DIY

    20191010_150357.jpg as tired of looking at my hashed up flares from trail abuse and decided I wanted to clean them up and improve durability. As you know they black OR flares are soft and can scratch with your fingernail. The new improved look took me about 4 hrs. I fixed one issue but created another that will cost me another 2-3 cleaning off the overspray with a claybar! :(


    JB Weld plastic welder to fill in the deep scratches $4 home depot
    Product used is Rustoleum Bedliner spray from Home depot $8/can. Used approx 1 full 15oz rattle can doing 3 coats about 1-2 minutes apart from each other

    Seems like it would have been easier to take them off rather than do all that masking. Would have been less overspray too.

    yep, I did consider that but you would need new clips and adhesive and cleaning up the old adhesive on the flares and body is a bitch
