I could see that. Probably more cost effective to have them made in large quantities

Why not have votes for photos, people list awesome photos and votes are taken to narrow it down the the final 12, then the editors/creators could put them in any order they want?

And you could even narrow it down to 2-3 photos per person

They kinda did something similar to that a while ago. Not to mention if we get 200 photos it's probably going to take a freakin long time to narrow it down...
if we limited every person to 1 submission it might help? Idk

I like the idea, and would for sure buy a calender or even two (One for home and one for the shop)

As for what trucks to use, I think that once someone gets the details ironed out on the basics (How many to order, how much will they cost, etc) then we could try and be fair to everyone and have a contest. Let everyone who wants their truck in the calender to submit their photo (Plain photo of truck, no Photoshopping to make the pic look fancy, and no user names) and then use a thread to pick out the top 6 1st gen and top 6 2nd gen trucks. Since the idea is to sell these to TW members, it should be an open vote to all members. The 6 of each generation with the most votes then can submit their official photo, Photoshopped and with models or whatever, for final approval by Bob. (TW is his baby after all, he should have some say)

The reason I am suggesting it like this is that it gives new member a chance to vote, as well as submit their truck for consideration. If we take old photos, then new members may feel left out.

And oh yeah, if there is room for advertisement, I am sure I would not be the only vendor interested in contributing to the cost of production.

Actually 3 and a half, but school starts for me this next week so I'm gonna be awfully busy... And it goes by fast! Probably would have to get them like completely finished and off to the printer by the beginning of December, take orders and get them shipped off before the new year actually starts! I mean, I can go ahead and start on it, but I need someone to pass the baton to if I get too swamped.

And yeah, we do need to run it by tcBob...

Alright, so here's what I've got so far (to be posted as a thread in 2nd gen section, then modified as needed to post in 1st gen section). Any thoughts, other stuff needed? We need some mods up in here for advice!

Ok, so the plans have started for a 2014 TacomaWorld calendar. This thread is for submission of 2nd generation Tacoma photos (only). Here are some basic ground rules:

    1. ONE submission per user
    2. Users must post a photo of their own vehicle.
    3. Absolutely no photoshopped photos!
    5. Please keep BS and comments to a minimum! There will be a voting thread later!
    5. No Jeeps

Submissions must be recieved by 12:01 am October 13, 2013 (one month from now)
After all submissions have been received, we will have a contest for users to vote and pick the 6 best 2nd gen pictures, which will be featured in the 2014 calendar!

Depending on how public this goes, we could even leave the submission thread open until November 1, and then allow only one week of voting. I don't know, what does everyone else thing?

Or we could make it super easy and just do this? I don't know... :notsure:
