162.9…. Wtf is going on? Price of oil isn’t that high… and America is possibly going to default, and the plandemic hadn’t ended. Is this a gouge right before two holidays and such?

 

Oh you bet it is! Lol! Every holiday and long weekend you see it jumps .10. Why?! Because we keep paying it

 

Oil is closing in on the $80/barrel mark, yes it is high.

 

Quick question from the North here, has anyone ever looked at higher capacity gas tanks at all?

 

Only out of curiosity, living in the Lower Mainland means expensive gas stations of plenty to be robbed at!

There are several options.

 

Last few days I just finished a drive from Sparwood to the Fraser Valley on hwy 3 and the cheapest gas was in a Castlegar 139.7.

 

Any chance there would be Canadian companies that make the tanks? Looks like the most common one is from the company in Australia that makes them.

 

None that I saw in my searches.

 

Ah well, tried seeing if Ramotors in Edmonton would make one custom but looks like it might be a project for myself.

 

We have lots of talented trades people here just not the same demand as other countries.

 

Oh forsure, just a matter of asking around the local shops and working something out. It would be cool if I could get the tank to fit in the oem spot as well as the spare tire spot underneath. Maybe a bit more capacity with that and avoid the long range tank from sitting lower than the oem one.

Anyone dealt with WestCoast Off-roaders? They are on the North Shore and keep popping up in my Insta feed.

I have I baught my rear ome BP 51 shocks from then they are good to deal with. Never had work done by them though.

 

Carbon tax, i see how us paying more for fuel reduces my carbon footprint.

…when you second think your bed stiffeners and decide against them, then sell them for what you paid for them. Fairly easily.

Living in the area, Canco in Salmo is traditionally the cheapest and they knock 2 cents a litre off 3days a week. When the border is open, its 10 minutes from home to buying much cheaper US gas.
