There were probably a dozen cars in the median from the snow on Christmas. I was out in it, wasn't terrible but had whiteout conditions coming across the Prarie so that's my guess. I had to chuckle at the Raptor that was there in the median. It looked perfectly undamaged like they just drove into the median and couldn't get back out.

yeah there were quite a few vehicles in the center or off the side. That Tacoma had the tail gate taken off within a night lol

 

Man I dont miss driving that part of the highway

Love the area, been up there exploring many times. Have rec property in the area. Love the rich history. Frank is a legend or crazy!

Frank is a trespassing thief. Nearly all the old working in the area are on old Crown Grants with surface rights yet Frank runs around stealing things from that private land.

Despite being a licensed pilot, he claims he can't read a map or gps to know if he is on private land or not.

I live and do mineral exploration in the area.

who has thoughts on North Shore Off Road? It’s been hit and miss for me.

 

I've heard bad stories about nsor. Only places I would ever let touch my truck on the coast is overland outfitters, big country customs and west coast offroaders.

 

I had a really hard time getting tires and cap from them when I bought my Taco to start.

You sound on the money from much of what I have heard.

 

Another local shop here in Victoria. I've had no dealings yet with them but will be checking out a lift and possible regear in the near future.

They are awful. Many stories of their terrible customer service. They can get you what you want, but why'll make sure you feel like an idiot, from the people I know who've worked with them.

 

I've dealt with them once to get my Leer cap installed. Installation went smooth and it's been water-tight so far. For further upgrades to the truck, I've been thinking of trying Overland Outfitters or Overland Garage in Burnaby.

 

I keep hearing good things about Overland Outfitters, but I emailed them about purchase and install of Baja Design Squadrons and bed stiffeners in the Summer…. I never heard back … ever.

Which worked out great. I did the installs.

 

I just got bumpers and air bags from Big Country Customs. Great service.

 

Man, I was at PK last weekend and it's basically December conditions right now.
That cold snap we had really killed a lot of snow.
I am also up in Fort St. John... Slightly chuckling at the gas prices when I am paying $1.219 for regular at my local Safeway with my 15 cents/litre discount.
