This is sounding pretty good for a verified user. Are you carrying any permanent weight? Camper; cap; bed rack with RTT, etc?

    Thanks for your reply!

Nothing substantial for added weight, just a BakFlip tonneau cover and Greenlane sliders.

    Hey all..
My wife to be, pup and I are heading westward for our wedding and 3 week road trip down the 101 to LA, CA starting July 16th. Our 1st stop is Revelstoke for one night to break the trip to Kelowna up.
Our trip plans are dispersed camping the whole trip and definitely don't want to rely on dedicated camp sites that will inevitably be booked up. Is there any recommendations for a great place to camp our 1st night near Revelstoke? Any local sweet spots??

Thanks!! Here's the rig we're living out of for 3 weeks.

You can head south of Revelstoke and stay on the west side of Arrow Lakes all the way to Edgewood. There are some nice little Forestry Camp sites in that area on small lakes. From Edgewood, head west then south down the Christian Valley and over to Beaverdell and across to Kelowna.

With the late Spring/Summer we're having, Forestry roads at higher elevations may not yet be open.

Beautiful truck and beautiful setup! Curious to hear where you end up camping, as I'm going the opposite direction later this summer and hoping to do the same. I'll be driving the length of BC up to YT and hoping to find scenic spots on crown lands, forest roads, etc to sleep for free in my RTT.

I appreciate the info!! That was our intended route! Except not so far south.. We are on a crazy deadline as we get married on the 18th in Kelowna. Camping one night near Rev, then back on the Trans. My hope was around this area circled. I know there's a campground further south, but I hate campsites.... Is anywhere in this area allowed?

Thank you!! There's great resources for dispersed camping in the US but having a hard time in unfamiliar areas to us in Canada...
Sounds like a great trip! Enjoy.

That's how we do it back home... I'm asking those who frequent the area of any sweet spots they don't mind sharing. We're on a real time constraint so the more we know exactly where we are going the better.

Not a fan. Can't stand the look of them. Then again I can't stand the look of most new trucks and cars

if you want to rough camp well off the TCH, you are looking in the right area.
further east you get national park, gates etc.
    otherwise FSR near Albert Canyon.
