    Winter camping is my fav. Find a spot on the river with the snow coming down, shoot some guns, have a fire and some good food.

    We do not get much snow here at all, have to go up the mountains or up Island!

    Interesting, i thought the opposite. Been to island many times but not in the winter. My sister lives in cowichan bay, beautiful area. We are planning to move to the island as soon as we can. Vancouver us getting too busy and expensive.

    I am in Nanaimo and depending how close you live to the mountains we don't get alot here in general, sometimes we get a good dump that lasts acouple days but generally speaking have to go up to the mountains. Other parts of the Island get alot more than us! Yes Vancouver is very busy and so expensive i can't even imagine! It's starting to get alot more expensive over here but no where near as bad as Van!

    Yep, 400k for a 760 sq ft condo and thats in surrey...:facepalm:and man, they sell fast.

    Was lucky to get it for much lower 7 years ago. Really want a house but it is not happening here.

    Yikes!! Can still get a decent house for that price here!! Victoria is very expensive. I think you guys will be able to find something decent with a yard etc over here no problem!! Good luck in your searches and the Island is very beautiful!!!

    Popped up to Jones before I even got home. Still had the stock tires in the back. Hadn't been up there for probably 20 years. Was disappointed that the road appeared to have been recently graded, wasn't what i remembered. Great time tho!
