Common sense says it would be, that would only act as some resistance. I’m still trying to wrap my head around more weight = better economy, at least in this particular instance.
I’ve been back and forth on a cap for a long time, have a tonneau now which is probably more convenient for me at least in the summer months and I want the visibility to tow the boat, but in the winter I haul plenty of firewood and with the non stop PNW rain, a cap would come in handy.
    Expensive af tho!

Tough call, they are louder than I thought they would be. In all truth I haven't offroaded nearly as much as I would have liked to and it would be a waste and a pain to buy heavy, aggressive tires again. I would likely buy AT3s if I knew my off roading will be as stagnant as it is now, or try to find a retailer down south for Generals with my 4WDABC membership.

Edit: However if I found I started getting out a lot more than I do and the Coopers don't do it for me in the thick mud we get while I still have them for a few years I would buy Yokohama G003 MTs.

Leer's pricy, so is Snugtop and ARE. My Bulldog was significantly cheaper than a Leer highrise by 1.5-2,000 dollars.

Dang, I couldn't imagine living over there, we visited a few years ago and it's a pretty amazing spot, but I was already feeling claustrophobic with all the people and we were there early in June. I agree a boat would be a must.

Touristic places can be a challenge. The population of Tofino is only about 2,200, give or take. But in the summer we see about 25,000 guests visiting here on weekends... :angrygirl:

Off season is bliss, lots of beach fires, gnarly storms, crank the wood stove and nightly hot tubs. It ALMOST makes the shit show worth it, almost.

I wouldn't say it's just this generation, I'd be willing to bet it's more of an age range thing, characterized best by just shitty Fu$@#N people...
Also, the previous generations are the ones teaching the new generation, so there's an onus on both ends.

I've seen people, old to young, leave a place an absolute pig sty... it's super frustrating and I wish there was more we could do about it.

Yeah true. I have seen a group of dudes like mid 40s, leave a huge pile of garbage on the other side of aluoette lake, only can get there by boat. I was gonna say something but it was only my ex and i and like 6 hung over guys haha.

I always try to leave the place cleaner than it was, thats how i was tought.

And by the way, congrats on your new truck! Tacomas are awesome! I guess ill see you around, im in bby a lot.

    Oh Man, I totally agree!

It's extremely aggravating and disheartening when people leave a place trashed... it really brings out the vigilante justice desires....

Yep, thats why they close down a lot of trails too, pretty annoying.

Cant wait till weather gets warmer. I wanna explore callaghan lake in whistler this time. We usually go east, harrisson and such. Lots of beautiful camping spots there if you are willing to drive for hours on FSRs haha. We were at 5 mile bay last time, it was so nice. 60 km harisson east.

Design of that recovery point is not impressive. "8250lb rating" with zero explanation of what that rating refers to. Two asterisks next to that claim, also with zero information. For all you know they're saying that you can park an 8250lb vehicle on top of this thing, and that it will shear off from an above-average breeze.

I wouldn't buy anything from that shop.

Yeah that’s what I was thinking after looking at the ARB recovery hook
