What would a bro build be without a headlight retrofit...



But, I think I might be in over my head, this is going to be a lot of work. I'm doing the @mesojdm retrofit with RX350 SLI Tuned Projectors and other things that he made me buy Not sure what they do, but others seem to have been successful aswell. I'm not a fan of the TRD white DRL's, so I'm keeping the SR orange DRL's, and painting all the chrome satin black to give them the look of the TRD Bro Headlights.

I'm working on another Bro financial move involving my old iPhone 7 and baldy's Verizon Plan. Hopefully I'll walk away with about ~$400 and a new iPhone 7, then I can reinvest the $400 into the Tacoma If it works, I'll share how it worked.

I've had it with Baldy. He caught me trying to steal his vice, so I had to go out and buy a new one.

 

Should of bought a cheapie from Harbor Freight and swapped them out. Baldy would never have noticed.

I got one light sort of done, I still need to hook up all the HID stuff, and figure out how I got the wrong high beam splitters

The BHLM wasn't too bad, if you attempt, make sure you have time not to rush, I was rushing and made a few mistakes. One being the shitty paint I used. I might pop the lens off again and use some good stuff (Krylon Maxx, fusion) and go Matte instead of Satin.

I also got my light bar installed, no real reason to hook it up though.

I left a chrome ring around the Projectors, looks like halo's bro!


And this is what you get to do when you scratch them I also left the side marker and didn't tint it.
I'd say tape them off before you pull them, edge of the fender is really sharp.

 

What do you recommend for a big white scratch in the paint..... I was driving through the woods and ran over a big limb which popped up and whacked the door. No dent, just a big wide white scratch.

 

Full repaint bro, it's the only way, a scratched truck is like slapping Nickelback in the face.

But in all unrealness, I'd start with a good cleaner wax and see how that does. I backed into a shrub at Starbucks, no joke, and put some nice white scuffs in my tailgate. Cleaner wax helped, but I think I need to have it professionally fixed. By the time I buy all the right compounds and tools, a shop could have it fixed in 15min for like $40-$50.

I have two scratched headlights, Ding in the drivers door, two 3" long slight dings in the bed, scuffed tailgate. Mall Struggle is real.

Don't be in a hurry for that Carmel Frap.
