If you’re gonna put plates on will the structural strength be ok with that deep of a cut on the CMC? I haven’t seen many that deep.

Bruh... it'll get packed with dirt from the mall soon enough and basically be as strong as if it were solid steel :D

Thank you, at least someone gets it. Metal technology is hard.

Luckily I know someone that can spell driver.

Im finishing up all the loose ends. I got the high beams wired up on the HIDs. I Drilled and tapped the ground for the ARB compressor. Also I cut and fully mounted the front brake lines to the knuckles :bananadance:

All in all pretty good, only 3 weeks for a CMC. Sometimes I impress myself:humble:

What do you use to paint the frame?

That orange stuff that shows up when you don't paint it :bananadead:

J/K, I use Krylon Semi Flat over Krylon Primer. It blends in pretty well with the factory frame, I think Semi Gloss might blend a little. The Krylon holds up really well.

I was thinking it wasn't deep enough. It's plated with 3/16" and fully welded. I don't think I'll have any problems with it. It is a very solid mount.

I went as far as I could and still be able to get the factory mount bushing out.
