power is awesome with the 4.88's. It a little over geared with 33's not to bad though its actually quite nice. speedo is off by a ton though, still trying to figure out how to correct it and figure how much it truly is off by.

also installed a scan gauge and a larsen permanent antennae mount for the radio

drill 3/4'' hole in roof, check.

don't mind my fucked up paint / plastidipped roof. These black sand pearl roofs seem to have some sort of paint cancer.

was thinking of using a hand held gps but idk how accurate they are. might have to find someone with a nav. setup. Orrrr just have someone drive next to me at 60 then I'll match their speed and try to enter that into the scangauge without crashing. ahhahahaha

going to give this a try.

"The right and left upper buttons can be used to increase/decrease the selected adjustment in 1% steps. The lower left number is the speed
reported by the vehicle. The lower right number is the speed which will
be shown by the ScanGaugeII by applying this correction. Positive
values of % will increase the displayed speed. Negative values of % will
decrease the displayed speed. The approximate % to use for a tire size
change can be computed by dividing the diameter of the original
equipment tire by the diameter of the new tire, subtract this from 1 and
multiply by 100. For instance, if the diameter of the original tires was 24
inches and the size of the new tire is 30 inches, 100x(1-(24/30)) = 20.
Setting the value to 20% will compensate for the tire size change.
For gear changes, the formula would be 100x(1-(new ratio/old ratio)).
For instance if the old ratio was 3.55 and the new ratio was 4.10,
    100x(1-(4.10/3.55)) = -15%.

One accurate way to set the speed is to use a handheld GPS. With one
person driving, the other person observes the speed on the GPS and
adjusts the % until the lower right value agrees with the GPS speed
indication. Setting both the GPS and the ScanGaugeII to display KPH
while making the adjustment will allow a more accurate adjustment to
    be made. "

trying to see if my calculations are right? this make sense to you guys?

Bigger tires will make the speedo read slower than actual speed.

Tire size stock 245's vs 285's

    100x(1-(30.47/32.83)) = 7.18% change

Gear change making the speedo read faster than my actual speed.

    100x(1-(4.88/4.10)) = -19.02% change

    -19.02 + 7.18 = -11.84 %

speedometer should be off by 11.84% since it says im going faster I've went into the scangauge's settings and changed the speed to read 12% slower.

Looking at Hankook rt03's MT, I've read only good reviews. Not set on that tire just yet though, maybe something a little lighter...idk just yet.
