I'm waiting for a call back from corporate. After lurking this forum for many years, I recently came to understand how great it really is. I'd like to thank you all for being so cool during my ordeal. I know it wasn't that big of a deal but I've never really had a vehicle strand me like this. No one got hurt and the truck is fixed, but for some reason I got heated over it. This was a great place to vent and get awesome feedback and advice. By the way, the dealer did my 20000k maintenance. Zerks not greased, diff fluid not checked, tires not rotated. That's all I've found so far. These guys reason suck, a lot. I will continue to do my own maintenance

Exactly, the joke would make a lot more sense if they picked a team that has never won a SB, not the team that has won the most!

Just got off the phone with corporate. I voiced my concerns in what I thought was a friendly and direct way...I got no love. Not even an apology. I guess I'll just take my chances with the standard warranty. Thanks

It would be nice if they would give some sort of extended warranty as a good will gesture.

As a long term Toyota N.A Legal employee, we didn't do anything for "gesture." ;) We did it for profit, just like any business :)

I would think keeping a customer happy so they purchase more products in the future would be in the best interest.

That isn't how business works. I was corporate counsel for an Insurance company when I first started.

If 10 people filed claims (example). You denied 10 claims. Only 1-2 people would fight it. If you look at actuarial science, why would we pay out on all claims, when we can get away with paying on 2 claims? s

Squeaky wheels get the grease. Look around. There are people here who have had 3rd gen lemon'd. On the Lexus forum, two people got LX570 bought back due to 8 speed tranny problems. Most people live with it or don't want to deal with dealer inconvenience. Corporations know this....
