OK TW people here is what happened. I just lost my job last week, and this week i just realized that the middle leaf spring in the pack on the right side is cracked and is making a pretty bad creaking sound...

So, I was hoping someone might have a spare leaf pack they would be willing to part with for cheap or even free hahaha. Thanks in advance :)

Oh BTW I have an 09 SR5 4x4 access cab

That should be covered by the powertrain warranty

    4WD,

Doug, I've snapped a 1st generation springs as well. I was just hauling hot women at that point, no hefty heifers.

Why don't you just replace the broken spring? a single leaf and center pin should be less than $30...

    garcm329,

4WD is a big advocate of using Ford And Chevy leaf springs to create "new" leaf packs. There is no reason you cant do the same. It will be a large savings over other methods. Read some of his posts/threads.

There are LOTS of Fords and Chevys in the junk yard to choose from.

Take your broken leaf to the nearest spring shop (look for truck spring repair) and they will make you a replacement leaf.

    rancho cucamunga huh?

Ninorth got into an accident a while ago and had the driver side leaf break so it was replaced under insurance. then the passenger side broke on him so he bought new leaf pack

so he has a new driver side pack. but the springs are side specific... i have no idea why

you may be able to buy it for cheap and we can install the middle leaf for you...

they look the same but for some reason they are marked L/R ???

You do have a 09 so it should be under powertrain but they may hassle you since its got an AAL right? the TSB is covered up to 60k so try that route first
