I don't think anyone would think the dealer is responsible, but it's a way to get it fixed for free. Dishonest yes, but if money is tight.

The front CV axle coming out or breaking is not a hazard while on the road, your wheel will not fall off. I've driven with a busted front axle more than a few times. All it means is that you aren't going to be able to use 4WD until it's fixed, it might clunk around while in 2WD but the wheel will stay on - the wheel does not rely on the CV axle to be connected to the truck.

    OP made his bed...

And if money is tight, don't buy a pro. Period.
Then mod it with a 3" spacer lift lol.

    Very true.

But I've seen plenty of people buy shit they can't afford then screw it up and just get overwhelmed with debt lol

I’m kind of surprised that it made it 10 days with no problems. The PRO is roughly 2” taller than regular Off Road + 3” lift is a lot of angle on front axles even with the dif drop.

If someone is so hard off after buying a Pro, modding the suspension and breaking parts that they have to resort to fraud for a fix then they deserve the coming visit from the repo man.

CV angles aren’t bad at all on a 3” lift.

But I believe he put it on top of an already lifted suspension in the Pro.

So a homeless person shoplifting is OK in your mind because they have little or no money. FFS.

Still, the pro is only 1” taller than the off road. At 4”, it shouldn’t have come apart. The real question is, what was the OP doing with the truck in the 10 days prior to shit falling apart?

Shouldn't, but we're not really sure what parts and work was done here. No pictures, just vague description in the OP so.....speculation :)

Splitting hairs......... I didn’t do anything criminal I only......

Reverting to stock and taking it in for warrantee repair is fraud and is a crime. Saying it is dishonest is ignoring the fact that a crime is being committed. If the lift didn’t cause the damage then take it in as is and argue your case. Modifying (reverting to stock) the truck to hide the fact it was lifted at the time of the damage is fraudulent due to tampering with the evidence /facts.

I don’t care how tight money is. Once you start justifying crime / downplaying it as a crime you start to change the definition of crime. If an addict steals my stuff it is ok because of their situation. If the homeless steal my stuff it is ok because they are just trying to eat. If I steal from work it is ok because I have a new baby at home. Where does it stop? Are the billionaires allowed to ignore the law because the poor are doing it?

    I didn't say that, I said it's dishonest.
    But people still do it.

Hell plenty of people with more than enough money do it to, because people are dishonest .Nothing you can do about it.
Never said I support it though

NO! The PRO is NOT higher than the OR. I had the OR before the PRO and I know the heights of both.
Look at my posts from around 2/17 to 3/17 and will see pictures of my PRO (stock) next to my colleague's OR side by side. (see post #41)
Also I have a front 3" lift on my PRO now with Icon 700# coil overs and no CV joint problems.
    Something else happened.

Didn't say I support it. Was merely replying to the fact someone thought someone would bring damage like this to a dealer for warranty and just hide the fact they caused it.

If you look who I was originally replying to.
And it was someone else earlier that said to hide it not me.

For one if I wasn't sure what I was doing with the install I would pay someone who knows what they're doing. And if this shit happened it would be going back to said shop as they fucked up. Not the dealer
But I wouldn't put a spacer lift on a $60k truck in the first place
