Hey all, tonight one of my serpentine belts snapped while I was driving and I didn't notice until the battery light came on. when I pulled over and stopped the car, my battery was steaming along with the coolant tank. The radiator hose connecting to the engine is collapsed and sucked dry. any idea how screwed I am? I drive a 2003 Toyota Tacoma base model 2.4L 4 cyl.

I'd let it cool off for 24 hours and refill the radiator with just water. replace the belt and see it it will start and run, without over heating. Did you hear any knocking noises or anything out of the ordinary when it happened.

The battery was steaming? Sounds like the alt belt tore a hole through a radiator hose.
