Is there anyone that can provide a way to fix clips that have been broken on the center console to hold it in place? I recently removed it to access under the gear shifter and when trying to place the center console back into place it would not fit correctly. After inspecting it there are multiple clips that are broken when trying to put it back on or when I removed it. I can not get the center console to fit back correctly, it is sitting awkward on the gear shifter. It looks as if there are many of clips that hold this down starting in the front and working back up to the top. Any help???

I don't mean to make it sound dumb, but are you sure they are broken? I thought the same as the little red clips stayed in the lower section. Pulling them out and tossing them on the console again fixed it all right up.

To be honest, I have not tried that. I noticed one or two of the red clips still stuck down in the clip section of the holes and assumed they were broken. So are you saying I need to use some needle nose pliers and remove them from the holes - attached the red clips back to the black clips on the center console - and then guide it back in there?

Yeah there are little clips that clip to both a spot on the console and the panel.... they can come loose on either end but the panel side does break fairly often. On the panel side, it'll be a fang with an open square in the middle that they clip into - if that square is open on the bottom then it broke off and the only fix is to rig it or just deal with it. They typically stay fine without rattles as long as you don't have too many missing or any adjacent ones.

Yessir. They just slipped off the console part. Not being on the console, they come out very easily. Like just a fingernail.
