jsut talked to the servece manager again...he contacted the regonal toyota manager who said, put it on the alignment stand and verify that the axel is out. after that has been acomplished, he will be contacted again and an apoinmtment between now and 2 weeks from now will be set up for both myself and him to be there at the same time with the truck, so solutions can be discussed. he is the regonal manager for baltimore all the way down south of me (northern va area), so it's understandable that he doesn't want to come without being sure it is out of wack.

I hope you get your frame taken care of. I am interested in knowing the outcome.

alright, back from the dealer..... they put it on the alignment rack and sure enough, almost an identical result to the alignment shop i had it at over the weekend (thrust angle was different by .04*). two mechanics and the service manager all agreed that the frame was twisted at the one spot and most likely the casue of the misalignment.

service manager said that he will contact the regonal representative again and have him come by as soon as possible, ideally next week. if not though, he said it should take no longer than two weeks to get him in. he assured me multiple times that there was no reason the frame should be like that on a new truck, and that they'd take care of me. good to know there are still soem people out ther who value good ol' customer service.

taking it one step at a time, and hopefully things work out.

No, I think very logically Mr. Jones. I considered the facts and who he was dealing with and based my decision accordingly. :p

    i think it's due to 3 things.

    1) they are in general a very well run dealership

    2) I am a very calm person, so i don't raise my voice or show any anger with them...i mean, it's not their fault

    3) I seem to have a far more detailed knowlege about tacomas (thanks to everyone on the forum:D) than anyone there does, giving me a foot up on them and putting me in the driver's seat
