I’m sorry to ask such a stupid question but I just wanted to be sure. After replacing the clock spring with the correct P/N, will I regain cruise control AND audio controls on the steering wheel?

If they worked before, yes, you should.

    On my third one here.

I dont have steering wheel controls but I believe I remember seeing that somewhere.

    Definately fixes cruise and horn.

Yes you will. Steering wheel controls, horn illumination and cruise all run through the spiral cable assembly.

The P/N I was going to go for was 84306-0E010 which is a clock spring w/ cruise control. Are parts interchangeable between 4WD and 2WD? As in it doesn't matter?

The part # you posted above is the one I linked.

Not even, just get the wheels straight, mark the wheel in relation to the spline after you remove the nut then pull off the wheel and do the work as you need to then install again based on those marks.

There is a small viewing window on the clockspring which shows orange which indicates the clockspring is "centered straight" that will let you know you are good to put the wheel back on.

@12TRDTacoma thanks for the help brotha. I'm just kind of a rookie with maintaining my truck and all and just wanted to make sure.

No problem. We've all been there.

For the frugal, yet technically inclined folks, who lost the horn (like I did) but everything else still works, there is a repinning at the clockspring connector and connector S8 you can do to regain your horn back without ever having to replace your clockspring.

I'm sorry one last question lol. How come on Napa's website there are 4 different options to choose, one with or without cruise control and one with or without audio controls?

That's assuming you have the steering wheel off. But if you're doing intermediate shaft work. Tie that wheel down.

Ahh, yeah, agreed, but this topic is regarding the spiral cable, not the intermediate shafts or the steering rack.

    $25 for genuine OE

Or $188 for Napa and knock off brands...

    :notsure:

I know where my money goes to.

True....but it started out as intermediate shaft removal that led to a damaged clock spring.

    But we're in agreement
