Broken Display

I've messed around with programming and hardware interfaces a bit. I have a display like the one in our dashes at my house running off a microcontroller to show me my solar production and atmospheric data. If it doesn't get initialized correctly or the serial data timing is off, it will do this. I think occasionally they don't initialize right and you get what we see. It takes a while for the display to shut off because the odometer reading stays on at the bottom of the screen after the key is switched to off. Maybe it's just a bug that isn't catastrophic.

 

It happened one time on my 2021. But I just turned off the truck, let it sit for a few seconds then restarted with no issue.

 

Update: my truck had been in the shop for 3 weeks with nothing done to it. returned to the dealership and demanded my truck back. problem hasn’t occurred since. seems like it’s some programming or software issues.
