Hi everyone, I'm new on here. I just bought a 01 double cab tacoma and I love it but I'm trying to fix a few things. One thing is the rear driver door does not lock, not by the auto lock button or by manually trying to push the lock down. It's just stuck unlocked. Another thing is that the auto lock button only locks the front passenger door like half the time. It's like it's just weak or something. Any ideas?

Hey dude, I purchased my Tacoma recently and since i picked it up the drivers door lock has been intermittent. When locking with either the key fob or the button on either front door the lock mechanism doesn't always fully engage. It will either mostly open or mostly close but not quite make that last little bit it needs to actually lock. When I manually operate the lock tab all the way in either direction it works fine. Have you had any luck in solving the issue? This is simply annoying. I'd like to fix it myself but if I must take it to the dealer...I must.
