2005 Tacoma TRD sport with 62,000 mi .. all on the road

Shocks all around purchased in 2008 as DONAHOE OFFROAD, apparently the founder was into child porn and they re-branded into ICON vehicle dynamics

Icon reservoir front coil broke in 2011 when my wife was driving it on hwy, Icon sold me another spring (so much for lifetime warranty) 700lb king springs, last week another spring broke.

Has this happened to anyone else, ideas?

Also, apparently ICON no longer services/rebuilds their shocks... so much for that selling point. Does anyone know where in Northern VA / DC to get rebuilds done?

So for clarity, you broke a icon spring first, swapped both coilovers over to king 700s and now 7years later you broke a king spring? Where on the spring are the breaking?

2011 Icon spring coiled over Icon shock aka coilover w/ res
-ICON, on phone, stated their 600lb spring wasn't strong enough for 2005 Tacoma w/ ARB & winch
-ICON spring broken at 2nd coil from top
-ICON recommended and sold me 700lb King spring to replace the 600lb ICON spring (maybe they didn't have 700lb springs yet?)

2018 King spring, on ICON shock, breaks on top coil

Yes there is a long period of time but about 15K street mi in 7yrs ... no rough running

Due to the benign treatment and the low mi.. I am curious if their is something about the way the ICON shocks work that would cause spring breakage.

I have been to nearly every offroad instructional course in NA, and not broken springs. So a 2nd car that's street driven strikes me as odd. Any ideas?
