Broken Icons

hey everyone, my buddy just recently had his Icons rebuilt and they made it 20 miles on a dirt road and they failed. Has anyone had or seen something similar happen?

 

The shop over oiled it. You need a new body to fix correctly since the snap ring groove is compromised from the body flaring out. Take them both back to the shop that rebuilt them.

303 is correct, however the good news is that you can have your service shop give me a call directly. I will work with them to get the parts needed as well as the oiling procedure to get you taken care of and back on the trails.

Or the retainer wasn't seated correctly. Non reservoir shocks are slightly more difficult to press the seal cap down.
