Ok do you have manual locks or power locks? Because a guy on that thread said the spring is for manual locks. And for power locks you need to replace the power actuator which is like $250

I have power locks. In my situation, I was not able to open the door from the outside with key, inside or using the key fob. It most certainly was the spring in my case, my door is working now!
