broken lca bolt

so i installed my lr uca's and went to get an allignment to find 1: the guy had no idea what he was doing and 2:my pass side front lca bolt is broke anyone else have this problem ? looks like a pia to fix

 

cant find just a bolt? do i need to go to toyota,buy a used complete lca,buy bushings and bolts from somewhere,or can i just get a bolt?

 

You can get just the bolt. I just bought it from Camelback Toyota along with LCA bushings. If you call the stealership, they should be able to hook you up. Depending on which one got broken, it should be around $10 - $20.

 

thanx man....its the front lca bolt on the pass side....was yours hard to get out? i never even knew mine was broke till i tried to adjust it

 

I had to replace both LCA's due to frozen bushings when I installed my UCA's. $1100 later, I have a brandy new front end.

 

thats insane on a 2008!!!! i refuse to spend that...

 

Mine won't come out, I'm cutting the bolts to get them out. Same thing happened to me, I took it in for an alignment and the tech wouldn't touch it because he was afraid everything would be frozen up. He was right...

You can just replace the bushings but the stealerships won't do it. Up north, they just replace the whole LCA. I bought new bushings and will do it myself. I refuse to pay out the ass for Toyota's inability to put grease on parts like they should have.
