Is this 1st gen or 2nd gen? Do you know anything about the 2nd gen packs?

edit: it'd take more than that to make me believe there is a serious issue with these leaves, especially considering the trend in the rest of the thread

and again 1st vs 2nd gen, is there a difference? have you heard any bad things about 2nd gen specifically?

I was looking at the wheelers hd 5 pack for my DC. They look pretty good but i dont want 1 1/2" lift. Im thinking northwest offroad hd springs which increase gross weight capacity by 700lb's and only lift 3/4". They also have a three year warranty for just a little more money. They are made in colorado also but they wouldnt tell me where. Wheelers also doesnt give any estimate as to capacity of there replacement or HD springs. Just that they have found the handle weight well. Alot of people are very happy with the 5 leaf pack though. 1st gen or 2nd gen we basically all have the same set up and issues. But sorry, didnt even realize this was 2nd gen.

Well there is a set of all pros that give a 3 inch lift in the for sale section for only $200, waiting the seller to reply. My first choice is to just get those then possibly add a front spacer later on to level it. I know spacers are frowned upon but i need the truck drivable asap. Next choice is ordering the ones from generalspring. For $455 after shipping
My next question is how often does this happen, ive seen a few threads lately about broken leafs.

Different springs from different companys are gonna yield different heights and rates. I would think you would want a matching pair. You can also order just a three leaf progressive pack that you have to install in your leaf pack that replaces the factory ones. Wheelers has them. I wouldnt take what i said as earlier as there leafs being no good. For everyday driving and light hauling they will probaly serve you well.

your right this does seem to be a recurring thing. I wheel mine from full droop to full bump and have had zero issues. im scared crapless though of them breaking, I get out and check at every pop or creak this truck makes. I don't know what to think, there are a lot of threads for factory breakage, and they all claim to be using their trucks as commuters

Really though, that's 2 people from an entire forum that had issues. I really don't think that you can base anything off of that.
