I have the same problem right now, broken middle leaf on the driver's side. I went for the skyjackers as all the springs were shot and I wanted a little bit of lift. I got new coilovers, new leaf packs and rear shocks. Only thing is $1150 down south, $1850 up here. I'll let you know how they are next week once they are on.

    Hi All,
very new to the forum so not sure if this would be the appropriate place to ask, but y'all seem quite knowledgeable on this subject, and my question is very similar.

Just got a 97 2.4L BASE model REGULAR cab Taco for my wife (real nice 5-spd manual 162K mi) and been giving it lots of TLC. But being new to trucks and leaf springs in general, this genius didn't notice the "frowning" :
So I would like to replace the OEMs with something more hefty, but not necessarily looking for a lift but not opposed either just as long as, like the guy above, I can keep and use my standard OE size shocks.

Unfortunately, since this is not a pre-runner or a 4x4 it does not sit high off the ground and it appears as though wheelers only carries leaf springs for pre-runners and 4x4s

Where can I get some solid leafs, close (enough for OE shocks) to OEM size, but heftier so they won't sag or break, without paying an arm and a leg? ...I really don't want to spend more than ~5hundo for this project..

    Thanks in advance.
