2013 Trd offroad, too much weight in the bed broke a leafspring. I was happy with the stock suspension. Any upgrades to look at before I replace shocks and springs?

2013 might be part of the leaf spring recall? If you’re looking for an upgrade the icon rxt packs sound pretty nice. 3 spring rate options. No personal experience with these myself though

Find someone in your regional forum who has recent upgraded to aftermarket leafs; buy their stock ones.

Check with your dealership. Pretty sure there is a recall for broken leaf springs. It was considered a safety issue since it could puncture your fuel tank, as opposed to just a TSB like the springs sagging.

If your leaf spring is 2 leaf plus overload it is covered under recall for spring breakage with possibility of puncturing the fuel tank. If it is a 3 leaf plus overload you are not covered.
