Hey TW! Need some help, I am in the middle of installing my Germes Lab RFCC and noticed this possibly broken mount for the radiator? Driver side right next to and behind the horn.IMG_20210515_185757336.jpg IMG_20210515_185742099.jpg
Can anyone tell me if this is the way it is supposed to be or if it is in fact broken. Thanks for the help.

Just looks odd because of the yellow line drawn across it, and the fact the other side isn't split. Thanks for the reply.

You're saying it's supposed to be like that?

OP idk what it is with Toyota and torque settings, but I have a few split Plastic tabs like that. One on my wiper cooler too.

I'm still under warranty so if it isn't supposed to be that way I'll try to get it fixed. But I have nothing to reference it to so I was looking for someone to show theirs not being this way.

Honestly I haven't looked at mine. But look at one on the dealer floor next oil change. I know they suck at plastic torque settings (wiper fluid, headlight bracket, rad support, 3rd brake light)

Yup, I saw that on mine the first time I opened the hood, checked out another one at the dealership and it was the same.

I think it's a QC issue. Like I said I haven't looked at mine, but I don't think it's like that, and I know torque settings are lacking in Toyotas lol.

The yellow line is an inspection mark from the factory.

Mine cracked ~3 years ago after installing behind grill light mount.
    Never has been a problem.

If it helps, the radiator is held in three other corners so it should be ok.

Stock wheels and suspension. Random "utilitarian" mods featured on this great forum.
Mine looks exactly the same way but it does look odd like that. Maybe meant as a breakaway point in case of a crash.

Barring someone posting up a pic of something different, I'm gonna say that's the design.
This doesn't look like something that snapped to me, in fact, I'd bet money against it..

Yours looks like a pretty clean line. @SpudGT 's looks jagged like it split apart. But "the way it is supposed to be" seems like the consensus.
