So far I cant get a hold of anyone because of everything going on. doesn't look promising to be able to get just a spring.

I broke a small, replaceable, piece on my tonneau and was able to replace it easily for $~35 from my local Toyota dealership service department. A slightly poor example of the point you were getting at. ;)

Looking at the original pic of the spring .... It looks to be poorly designed. The coil diameter at the end(s?) is flat tapered to sit flat when installed. Reduction of the material at the required hardness caused a stress spot on the spring - which brakes.

In short, I'd expect many failures with this design. Maybe they should have made a space flat on on side made to fit the spring pitch on the other - using a full diameter spring at the ends ...

With that said, I'd push the Dealer/Toyota/NTSB? to push for a fix before a spring end spits off and blows a tire at highway speed ... JMO.

It appears to be a closed-end/flat-ground coil.
I agree; the geometry doesn't look right.
To me, it looks like the last coil needs more taper and more ground off to have it seat properly.
If they're double forging to form the flats, that can soften the material.
As far as I know, Eibach grinds their flats.

Closing the last coil and grinding it flat is standard practice for coilovers. However, if there's a deviation in flatness or parallelism, the coil is put in bending and can break. Happened with one of my Icons in my previous truck (this was before Icon switched to Eibach springs). Happened to @Ellswj86's Kings last month: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/broken-king-coilover-spring.654792/page-3#post-22888055

bullshit. Just like the Fox on the raptor, Fox will rebuild them for you. So obviously there are spare parts. Parts are interchangeable with all their other shocks, and shocks are completely rebuildable, they will probably even sell you a rebuild kit. As for warranty, that’s Toyota’s issue not Fox’s.

I'm sure that's true for the shock but i not so sure about the springs??? I tried to fill out a service form with fox but there is no options for the springs. I sent the an email but until all this crap settles down I don't expect to hear form anyone for awhile.

I don't know if the spring is sourced from Fox. Fox don't make springs, and Toyota has more "clout" with vendors than Fox (ie spring manufactures), so I'd be surprised if it was sourced from Fox. I seem to remember someone mentioned (maybe in the 'Taco PRO owners - spring upgrade' thread) that Eibach made the OEM springs for Toyota / Fox setup. But I've never confirmed that, and there is so much miss-information posted about suspension on this forum that I'd take that with a grain of salt.
