Broken touch screen 2012 JBL premium system

I recently purchased a 2012 Toyota Tacoma double cab 4x4, equipped with the upgraded JBL premium sound system (cd player/xm radio/navigation/touch screen/back up camera etc). The system is great, but I broke the touch screen. When I called the dealer of course there is no warranty and no way to fix the screen...a new unit was quoted as being $3300.00, so of course I would like to hear other options....please...

 

You just purchased the truck and there is no warranty?

 

Bought the truck "used"...but I broke the screen which is why I'm told it's not covered....

 

you're warranty doesnt cover it since YOU broke it, warranty isnt insurance. if it broke on its own it would be covered under the warranty

 

I forgot to mention I would like to replace the unit but keep everything else the premium JBL system has to offer....is there another main aftermarket unit that would fit and run everything????

 

There are many doubledin units that will fit that have the options you want at a fraction of that quoted price . Contact a local stereo shop or crutchfield is a great resource . You can get a VERY good unit for about 1100 with everything and more than the stock system .

After researching...I like the Alpine INA-W910...but according to Crutchfield it doesn't fit...does anyone know of a good system that can fit in, hook up with existing JBL system without a lot of modifications etc????

they are a perfect fit kit for your car..but buy it in Ebay..you will save aroun 400$

and I'm sure they exist a interface module for you JBL amplifier..

what do you think to do with the broken head unit? if you want to sell please contact me, I need some conector and leds from a tacoma radio.
