    Mid to end January, 2012:
This was hands down the strangest weekend of my life, so many ups and downs of Awesome and downright horrible happened. But to just mention truck stuff, it all started with this:

My custom sized URD belt blew when I started it up in the cold one morning, thankfully I had a spare, the old one that came with my used S/c kit. Unsure of how long this spare belt would last, I ordered a new one online that morning. In the interim, I had no spare, so I found a commercial sized belt that was only 3/4" smaller that I could use in case of emergancies.

A few days later whilst driving on the highway, in the middle of no where, my used belt blew. Wrapped around the fan, and while spinning took out one of my coolant lines with it:

Now I had the commercial shorter belt, replaced that with tools on hand, and Magyver'd a coolant fix. Sliced the hosing from my windshield washer system and fit that over the coolant connections, and zip tied it down. All this while its was -20C outside, took me about 1 1/2 hours. Filled my coolant with the litre of water I had on me.

Thank god for my torque app, I had a digital read out of my coolant temp. It couldn't maintain cooling cause of my massive coolant loss, but I could drive about 5km between heat soaks. Then sit on the side of the road for 5 minutes waiting for it to cool down (only benefit of the cold outside as I was frozen solid). About 45 km down the road I found a gas station, filled up coolant, continued on road trip.

Found a Napa Auto Parts, fixed windshield & coolant system hosing and clamps, bought yet another spare 3/4" undersized belt. Proceeded on my road trip. Discovered the undersized belt was so stretched it had an engine run life of about 5 hours. It blew (3rd belt in a week), coolant went everywhere. Thankfully I was in Red Deer, so I replaced belt with my just purchased an hour earlier spare, replaced coolant at gas station. Did the math to calculate a new Idler pulley size, put on an undersized Idler to combat tension issue. And that commercial sized belts lasted ever since (2 months so far).

Which is awesome, cause commercial size is only 50$ to replace, and URD one after shipping and customs costs me about 120$ to replace. And new idler pulley cost me like 30$? Either way, win-win.

About an hour after the 3rd belt blew, my Check engine light came on. Using torque app (seriously, that things worth it's weight in gold, get it) I discovered these codes.

After interweb research and with 82,ooo km's on my truck, I figured my MAF sensor must have coincidently gone. Replaced that at the cost of 306$ from Toyota . Only to discover that while my belt whipped around is smashed my wiring for the MAF wire extention due to my URD TCAI. I ran rich as a pig just EATING fuel the rest of that road trip till I got home and one of the X-ru.com guys sent me his spare MAF connector piece + wiring for just the price of shipping. LOVE online forum communities. :D

Kind of slow...finished my one load plan 3 hours ago. Been hangin' out with my friend, the night shift warehouse foreman, down in his office. Didn't sleep enough yesterday, so it's kind of been a rough night...should sleep good today when I get home.

Speakin' of ... you ready to start another Dino Whirlwind Vacation?

My Supercharger failed, specifically the Rotrex C30-94, the part that actually makes the boost. Yet another joy of buying used, it only lasted aprox. 30,000km's before the bearing failed and the blades were forced into the casing wall. Grinding away enough of both that the S/c unit lost its seal and couldn't make boost anymore. Having to order a replacement anyways, I decided to throw in some extra upgrades in my order to save on costs & shipping! :woot:

Everything from URD, 3k+ worth of parts, 1 week later (Except the Draino )

Included: New Rotrex C30-94 S/c & assorted oil parts (hoses, fluid, filter etc.), 2nd gen Doug Thorley Long Tube Headers + Extenstion harnesses, URD Y-Pipe + o2 Sims. The MAF wiring connector I needed came the same day.

That very afternoon I went out to replace the broken S/c to get truck back up to par:

Tell me about it, A coworker came in on overtime to help me out tonight. so my normal 45 min of total work in a 12 hour night shift is cut down to only 22.5 minutes

 Why would they authorize overtime for 45 mins of work in a 12 hr shift. Good for the co-worker though. ;)

Man if I had any idea why my management made retarded decisions, then it might help me make more sense of this place. Logical things get denied and useless things get approved all the time here.

Its just... I mean, I know not everyone is created equal, some are smarter then others.. but how can they NOT see all the money washing down the drain with bad decision after bad decision.. Like I could understand one or two bad calls here and there, shit happens. But come on..

I should start an efficiency expert company, I'd probably make a killing.
