I recently purchased a 2023 Tacoma Off Road and am interested in a set of bronze wheels. Does anyone have any recommendations for wheel and tire combinations that would work? Thank you.

@SCSPerformance has some great bronze wheels!

as for tires, that depends what you want and how far you wanna go, cutting wise. I’ve got 285/75/16 Baja boss A/Ts with SCS BR6 wheels. I think there is a thread about bronze wheel pics too.

Most smaller than 285/75/16 might fit without trimming.

If you want 33s without trimming, 255/85/16 or 255/80?/17 might work. Search the treads for pizza cutters.

Browse all manufactures find the one you like and go for it. Just monitor the weight of what your looking at. Kmc, scs, method, falcon, ssw, rrw etc... all note worthy manufactures.

As for fitment options this is somewhat determined by tire size you looking at as me toned above. But safest bet is stock or a 265/70r17 or 265/75r16 is one sized up and a ton of available options in SL.

Most common fitment that has very little to no rubbing risk is a 17x8 0 offset. The 0 will bring you pretty much flush with the flare as soon as you get into a negetive it increases your odds of rubbing.

Thank you all so much for the advice. I had my last Tacoma for 18 years but kept it stock and never changed much. Id like to change a few things on my new (2023) Tacoma but the how to do it properly is a bit of a learning curve. I’ll continue to read up and educate myself. Thanks again for your help

I will never buy wheels from Tire Rack again... I bought a mounted set of tires from them and the rims had issues, and they kept putting me off with "suggestions" until the warranty ran out... and then they forgot there was a continuous dialogue and just declined any further communication.

We've been offering matte bronze wheels for the Tacoma since 2006 (longer than most of the aforementioned companies have been in business). :)

Our first model was the 16x8" Countersteer Offroad in bronze:

Still looks good on the 3rd Gen Tacoma 20 years later:

If your 2023 Tacoma TRD Offroad is completely stock (OEM suspension) and you don't plan on lifting it anytime soon, then I usually recommend an 8" rim width with +0mm offset, i.e. 16x8" +0mm offset or 17x8" +0mm offset. This fitment works well on a stock truck and also works great with up to a 3" lift and 33" tires should you decide to lift the truck in the future.

Slightly negative offsets and/or slightly wider rim widths are OK too, but you should expect some rubbing with negative offsets and wider widths even with a lift and especially with stock suspension.
