I don't know if this has been mentioned yet. Go buy a used JGC ( a couple years old) for half price, keep the Tacoma siince it's already paid for(?)
Try the JGC for a year, and when you get tired of it (and you WILL) sell it for half of what you paid for it and go back to your Taco. You'll be money ahead by not wasting money on the new off the showroom floor JGC, plus you won't have to find another good condition Tacoma.

I say all this only half in jest.

You keep mentioning "looks", is a "look" really worth that HUGE car payment? I've had cars with a full coverage warranty that are always in the shop (most recently a Volvo S60) while it's nice not having to pay for it, always having to take it in, waiting for the work to be done, not having the car available when you want/need it SUCKS.

I had a buddy who had a JGC
3 transmissions, 2 rear axels, and a motor later, he never went back.

Check my build thread...too much to list.
What about a tonneau cover and pop&lock to secure your tailgate? I recently got both for my truck and I even did the power pop&lock to work with my key fob. If you want the Jeep get it, but I'm sure not having a car payment is pretty sweet. That to me is the big factor is this situation.

I think the only reason I would say to keep it is because not having a car payment is awesome. Just because of that I tend to run my vehicles until, by all logic, I should have traded them in years ago.

If you're flush with cash though do what you will.

Buying a Chrysler product = Pissing your money away

I'd write more, but I need to get home and change the transmission pan on my girlfriends Liberty. After 60,000 miles, it's rotted out and leaking fluid all over the god damn driveway.

For an SUV you should look at a 4Runner, Highlander, FJ Cruiser, Pilot, XTerra, Rav4, CRV, Pathfinder, and Wrangler before you even consider a Grand Cherokee.

I've known about that issue for some time now. I saw someone else post about the recall. At least it's being addressed now officially.

I'm heading towards the dealer right now. The vehicle is in and they are prepping it. I'm 98% sure I will buy the JGC..... We agreed to certain numbers and I'm going in for the inspect and test drive.......

If everything looks and feels good, I will no longer be a Tacoma owner. Maybe in a couple yrs again? LOL.

Just got done cleaning out my truck and removing my retro headlights. Speaking of which, they will be on sale soon if the Tacoma is gone.

Good luck with the GC. As long as it's within the powertrain warranty period, you should be fine. :)

    A. Keep the Tacoma
    B. Trade it for a 4Runner
    C. Either A or B:D

Out of curiosity..why do you want a vehicle that doesn't have "all the bells & whistles" but are looking at a limited cherokee?
