Did everything line up good? No hassle closing or opening the door? How did you bend them?
Can you send me some pics please

I used a vise and a large set of pliers to bend them. After they were bent to the correct shape to accommodate the light bar, I held one up to the door frame and traced inside the mount's three holes with a sharpie. I started with a 1/8" pilot hole then moved on to the 1/2". After they were all drilled, I lightly hammered in the provided insterts in which the screws would thread. I'm really happy with how it turned out, it's pretty solid. Also, the door has no issues shutting.

I may "modify" the mounts a little more after finals next week to bring the bar in closer to the windshield.

Sweet, I definitely want to see it when you get it installed. You shouldn't have any issues, I could have easily bent mine to fit a 51. However, I do recommend minimizing the number of times you bend it. I noticed as I bent mine back and forth (to get the correct door frame and bar mount angles), the paint started to chip. There's also the material strength reduction to consider but that's not really a concern in this situation haha.

    Sub'd

How do those LED headlights work out? I hear LEDs in the stock housings throw light everywhere

They do, they have this distinct pattern on the road but it's symmetrical so I don't really mind it. From what I've noticed, the light output and color is better than the SilverStar Ultra High Performance Halogen bulbs I was running before. I'm pretty happy with them, having run HIDs in the past I think it's the best option for stock housings.

I was thinking of getting some myself, that's why I ask. I'd just hate to be "that guy" who blinds all the other drivers

Haha I thought the same thing. I left mine aimed the same way as before and so far I haven't had anyone flash me.

    Hey man, sweet build!

How's the output on that light bar? Compared to your round hids?

Hey thanks man. It's incredibly bright, when it's on, the three hid fogs are really only noticeable at the longer distances. The light from the bar is pretty much the same as when I have the brights and fogs on by themselves.

K thanks. I've been thinking about a "filler" light for my taco. I have 2 LF 240s mounted up, but I need more coverage up to 50yds or so. I'm debating a lightbar or 4- 6" spread beam hids on a roof rack.

I think either option will work. The light bar is a combo with spot and flood so you could mount up two round spots and two floods giving you basically the same output and range. Then it's just a matter of aesthetics and preference.

Well, lower profile and less amp draw is attractive on the LEDs. That's why I wanted to know if your bar was very bright, or kinda a let down :) sounds like your happy with it. So I might pull the trigger soon. :spy:

Hey, and if you ever find yourself north of the 49th, I'll be glad to ogle your truck - I mean, meetup or whatever. I really would like to start traveling the PNW more, rather than just the local trails. Your build is inspiration.

You just made my day haha. I'll be sure to let you know if I'm ever in the area. If you do come over here, my buddy Angelo (EastWaTaco) and I would be happy to show you some trails!

Did you use a door hinge for the spindle?

I did...it was not a good idea. I quickly replaced it with the flange bearings that seem to be doing alright. Next time around I will definitely use a spindle.
