Well, after a trip to DC and back today sitting in some traffic I figured I would stop and check it while it was nice and warm. Seems the bubbles have gotten faster. Also threw code P0302 (cyl 2 misfire). So called the dealer I got it from who have me warranty and told them it looks to be a head gasket. They wanna check it out. So hopefully it gets taken care of.

It's an 05 with 239k miles. Everything has been immaculate on the truck so I can't complain. And at least it was caught before the 6mo warranty ended the dealer gave me.

whew; good that you have a dealer warranty. It shouldn't be a problem for them but it would have set you back a bit out of pocket. Good you found this out b/f going to the trouble of trying to flush.
You may want to pay them to do a few things like thermostat and maybe water pump when they get it all apart; 240k miles is alot but may be worth a few bucks.

I bought it knowing it may need a few things. I woulda done the gasket myself since I know how to do it all and have the garage to do it in. But the dealer would've charged anywhere between $2200-3000. So it is nice. I believe the head gaskets are $78/each. I'll have them do both gaskets, flush, thermostat and probably water pump. Already in elbow deep so why not.
