Dramatic is calling other people emotional. Other people get to express their opinions too.

Is it? Tacoma owners do seem to be wrapped fairly tight, don’t you think? Can’t question quality, reliability or engineering decisions without owners making excuses.

Sure they do, don’t see me getting upset over it.

Um ok??? Guess I don’t see where you are coming from. Of course I am letting others chime back, good to hear various opinions. Even on your personal TH thread, read your gripes because of “reasons” yes?

Your opinion is aways the bestest.
Your opinion is always the bestest. Anyone responding is emotional to their brand.

Never suggested it was. Seems like you’re getting upset, perhaps dramatic.

Yeah… I just helped my friend into a F150 lightning … I don’t have experience with a 24+ Tacoma but compared to my 22 and 21 the build quality wasn’t good on the ford. Just being honest …
Front oh shit handle popped out
    Scratches on the hood
    Paint/dirt spot under rear window
Rear retaining block for tailgate fell out the first time the gate was opened
    Scratch on door edge

my buddy doesn’t care as he never even washes his cars period so … yea

Very true. Toyota stripped the premium auto from our MT tacomas at the PRO level. No JBL for us. I guess they figure we don't turn the music up as high because our transmission isn't as loud shifting all the time. ;)

Neighbor has both a gasser F150 and Lightning, on the EV that light bar in grill is very cheap looking. Couple things are questionable quality wise, he seems happy with both though. The EV is for running around town and the gasser for travel which is funny. He is a software engineer, so he geeks out on the Lightning. Surprised he isn’t in a Tesla or Rivian however. Ford seems like the low rent version of those two.

Couple few things that bug me on the Toyotas, feel like all manufacturers cut corners here and there. Personally rather build my vehicle from scratch to my exact needs and wants, but after restoring a couple cars over the years, over fussing with them.

The newer regular cab f150's with the 5.0, Whipple and lowered stance are pretty cool. That'd be a fun Home Depot/parts runner truck.

At least the engine doesn't blow up within 8K like the Tunnys.

Could get into a lot of trouble with one of those. If I was younger, maybe, trying to be wiser in my old age.

I've not seen many 2024s in these parts of Delaware (Kent County/Dover).

They are nice and new but at the end of the day, I'm very happy/content with my 2021 TRD Sport/DCSB/AT.

I've got less than 2 years to pay it off...sooner, if I make additional/principal payments in between due dates.

I'm glad those prices you mentioned for 3rd Gens were unheard of back in 2021!

    I saw a ‘24 Tundra on a dealership lot today for $53K.

They also had a new Land Cruiser….for $90K….

No surprise that someone shelling out 55-65K for a Tacoma might be a tad defensive about their purchase, but the reflex to call out all other brands as a POS is kinda lame. Arguably the biggest POS truck on the road curently is a 2022-24 Tundra.
