Ive never had an issue. Truck always gets up to operating temp once on the road and moving. That said Ive only ever driven it in single-digit negative temps, never in the crazy -30 - -35 temps discussed above.

3rd gen taco is all synthetic, i've driven mine in -58 F and it gets up to temp. Ideally, if it's below -22 F you plug in your block heater if you have one so it's less cranky on start.
Yeah, clutch/shifter gets pretty stiff and mine stays sticky even after running a while below -22 lol. Don't think there's a lot you can do about that.
Could always research for different brake fluid? Pretty sure the clutch uses the same fluid.

My truck lives in a garage where it doesn't normally get below zero. but it sits out during the day. When the HIGH was -9 a few days ago, it started up just fin after sitting in the deep freeze for 9 hours. Never have any issue with it getting up to operating temp. normally takes like 2 miles.

That was how I felt when it got to 17 yesterday. funny how "cold" temps can feel warm after extended time sub zero.

We used to go down south for a couple of weeks this time of year. Going from -25 to +25 C was a real shocker! Takes a lot of beer to cool down and acclimatize.

I've ridden snowmobile's in northern quebec where it got down to -40 most of the week. Felt like summer when we returned back home in connecticut.
