2013 DC, TRD-OR- Topper, BFG A/T- 5000 miles on truck. I avg. 16.5-18 normal everyday driving in city mostly. I recently took my first road trip pulling my Casita camper from Amarillo Tx to Monument Valley UT. and through Durango Co., Pagosa Springs. I had a good load but nothing out of the ordinary just camping stuff probably extra 700 -1000 lb. Alot of hills and mountain driving. At first I drove to Albuquerque trying to hurry avg. at 67- 68 mph. and I avg. 8.5 to 9.5 mpg. this really sucked and I was pissed. Changed my speed to 62-63 the rest of the trip and avg about 12-14. On another note-I am pissed that my truck sags good when Im hooked up to my camper (its not that heavy-2500 dry. I have the 3 spring rear and might have to add a leaf or airbags. or something

My old 2011 F-150 got 19mpg in the city and about 23-24 on the highway with the V8. It was company issued so I rarely was easy on the skinny pedal.
I get 14 mpg city with my 13 DCSB with 265 Duratracs and 10k on the odometer. I have never seen 20 or better......ever.

    Try this: http://compare.ebay.com/like/260993067620?_lwgsi=y&ltyp=AllFixedPriceItemTypes&var=sbar

I have this installed on a 07, give me a lighter touch on the pedal with same power. I also have used the cold a/c line to cool off the air going into the air box. Might also try using a high flow air filter and removing the one they plastic weld into the air box.

My first tank was the worst, which was about 16 mpg. 5500 miles later I'm over 21 mpg with the exact same driving. It will improve...you motor is still "figuring"stuff out

And perpetual motion is possible.

Funny, looking at the instructions it describes how the electric supercharger is only meant to work at full throttle, no other time. How can your install let you use a lighter touch on the pedal if it only works at full throttle?

Using a/c to cool your intake clearly will use more HP running the a/c than gained back from cooler air.

That sucks about the price of gas. I get 17 city and 18-20 highway depending on the flatness of the road.

You set where the turbofan kicks on, mine comes on at 1/4 to 1/2 throttle.

I have a 2013 double cab 4x4 with 4000km so far and every few tanks have gotten a little better gas mileage. I am running 305/70/17's km2's with flowmaster super 44 and afe stage 2 cai and my gas mileage right now is 19mpg. Mosty highway. I am extremely pleased with this. Just to make you feel better. My first few tanks were 15 mpg and that was with a completely stock truck.

I say this because this is a common topic that comes up all the time. You have a 4.0L V6 that is in a pickup drivetrain. 16 mpg isn't bad at all, considering it is a truck.

Because only an xxxxx would purchase a vehicle and not look into real world mpg then go onto a taco forum and complain. Just makes themselves look stupied.

If the vehicle is rated at , say , 20MPG and you get 14MPG , I would be asking a similar question

You on the rag today ?

Everyone knows the MPG on the window sticker is total BS.

Many manufacturers are now in court being sued for lying their butts off.

That's why I always listen to real world numbers and anyone who is making a significant investment in a new vehicle should do the same. Where can these be found...consumer report, edmunds etc.

Real world numbers for a Tacoma are 17mpg...see here as to why and their research http://editorial.autos.msn.com/article.aspx?cp-documentid=435406

and yes, it is that time of month.
