Fastenal took it from Billy yesterday, so it's in transit. Hope to get it this time next week. :)

I took it from Fastenal today at noon. I count 47 hours from Billy's hand off, to me taking it from them. Pretty damned good! :burnrubber:

NO pics yet, cause it was a hyper rush job to pick it up and get back to work.

My tire carrier is built like @Skootter14 's , which is, height adjustable. Prep and paint will start ASAP. :bananadance:

@Bruteforce Fab do you offer in shop pickup? I'm just up the road in Mariposa! And what's the lead time on sliders?

to my knowledge he does in store pick up. I am only saying this becuase he lets people drop their trucks off and he installs HC bumpers and what not (im sure at an additional charge). it would only make sense for him to let you pick stuff up at his shop.

Thanks Andy. I loved yours after seeing it and it's one of the reasons I went with Billy.

Some very quick pics I snapped yesterday.

    BEEF!!!

I ended up prepping as the sun went down, and finished priming after dinner last night. I used a 300 watt halogen work light to help me see. :laser:

I will also weigh the bumper once I'm done painting it. It's stout, yet I can still move and carry it around by myself.

Looks great, Nick, I wish I had gotten the hi-clearence. Have fun cutting, I am looking forward to the write-up.

    Thanks!

I cut a few weeks ago. No write up. I mostly followed advice from Leo, @Night Eagle .

Cut level with taillights. Measure a bunch of times and go to it with angle grinder with fresh cut off wheel. Cut right through the plastic flares right on the truck. Pretty straight forward.

Cleaned up sheet metal edge with a metal file, then mask off and paint edge.

I still plan to put some quality 3M door edge stuff on there for a more finished look.

Here is my six year old painting Rustoleum onto the truck. :)

I can't get over how stout his construction of his bumpers are. Looks incredible Nick, can't wait to see it on the truck!
