I can't decide whether I should throw these bolt on fill plates in or just keep the light tabs and move on...

If you can make your own do that. Throw a light in there and then make a full plate with a cutout for the light. Best of both worlds

    Honeycomb composite sleeper platform.

Money has been in since June and have not recently heard from BFF. Last I heard is that the bumpers were in process and would be done shortly. That was a several weeks back.

for those that havent bought a bumper or anything fabricated, on average its 7-8 weeks (2 full months) to get something back.

I have spoken to him about 3 times in the past 3 weeks, hes super swamped with business (which is a good thing) but he also likes to talk when on the phone, so quick phone calls turn into 30-40 min convo's cuz hes genuinely interested in talking to you and learning about what you're doing to your ride. having said that, if he took every phone call everyday, he would get NOTHING done and it would take double the amount to get his work done. shoot him a call or text, if he doesnt pick up hes pretty damn good about calling or texting back in the next 48 hours. hes a one man band pumping out great products for everyone; his craftsmanship and attention to detail is second to none.

I know its frustrating but let the man work, he normally puts in 10-12 hr days, 5 days/wk minimum.

(I too am waiting on a custom HC bumper w/ swing out )

Would any of you have the time to do me a favor and get me a simple measurement from the HC rear bumper? Please put a tape measure between the bumper and tailgate, push it forward until it hits sheet metal and then measure.

Stock bumper photo for reference as measured under the "A" in Tacoma.

I'm looking to see if the HC bumper offers approximately the same space for stepping.

Thanks a million if you help me out.

    Not a problem.
Very happy with the bumper FWIW.
the side protection hoops have saved me from body damage numerous times.
Billy is a great guy as well.

That's good to hear. I was quite impressed with the internal construction I saw in photos by @HolyHandGrenade

I have one question I need to have answered before I go through with a purchase.

I need to know that the receiver tube on the HC bumper does not protrude any further over stock, into the space under the bed where the spare tire is. I have a 33" spare down there and had to move the elevator back 1" to make space. I need that space so diff doesn't hit tire under compression.

Asked Billy over email, will wait for his response, or he can reply here...
