I don't have the BFF original dual swing outs, I had Dual shear retro fitted to my BFF HC Bumper - That being said I havent had an issue servicing or accessing my tail lights etc.

Welp, good news. It's definitely tight, but didn't have a problem swapping my tail lights. I just used a thin piece of foam to pad it when pulling it out, so I didn't smack the tail light against the swingout bearing housing.

As far as I know, they are. Billy can be tough to get ahold of in my experience, but if you keep trying eventually he gets back to you.

Still in business. Spoke to him about two weeks ago to get an update on my order. From my understanding he had a few people quit on him and he is running a little behind.

I know it’s not on a taco but I just wanted to share my BFF bumper that I just finished up on my tundra. Absolutely love it and the quality is top notch!

I did not have any issues getting the OEM taillights out but I did have to pull the driver side tube out a bit(cut a little out, pulled it out, then rewelded) to get the aftermarket ones in due to the shape of the lens.

Best pic of the taillights I have at the moment.

Hm luckily I was able to remove OEM and install aftermarket without any issues. just used a little padding to prevent the housing from slamming into the tubes or swingout bearing housings.

    Truck looks great though!

Yeah, these aftermarket ones just had a little more of a squared off lens that took up that extra little bit of space to squeeze them in.

Thank you. She ain't no beauty queen but she gets me where I need to go.

Getting Billy on the phone is hard. Very hard. He is a solid dude though. If he tells you something you can count on it. Just hard to get in touch. I’m sure he is bombarded too.

Product wise, the stuff is great. Not sure how he is able to keep it all together. Seems like a colossal effort just to keep up.

I’m a repeat customer and similarly in the dark on trying to place an order. I think right now is a good time to be patient. Seems like he needs a little breathing room to catch up.

So in the past you have ordered the parts without contacting him first?

No, kept trying and finally talked to him. You need a voice call. Getting to that part is like finding a golden ticket, you have to eat a few chocolate bars.

I’m not going to sugar coat it.
I kept calling until I talked to him. He’s hard to get ahold of. Once yet get him on the phone he 100% spends the time with you to get you bumpers dialed in. He sends the invoice and you pay your deposit. Then it’s radio silence until yours up for the build. He calls and double checks to make sure you didn’t trim fenders or want little changes. Then crickets and you get a tracking #. He’s basically a one or two man show and doesn’t have time to hold everyone’s hand or be on their beckon call. That reflects in his prices. If you need to be babied, have the red carpet rolled out for you and be reassured your bumpers are being worked on to stroke your ego go buy an over priced CBI they pay people to answer the phone. It’s that simple.

This was my experience as well.

Texting was how I handled it though, and I would regularly go a few texts unanswered, but he would always eventually get back to me. I think we had 2 calls, 1 right before I ordered so I could discuss some details with him, and 1 more call after the install was done for him to let me know to pick it up. The rest of the communication was via text. Email might as well have not existed lol.

Same. Aside from the phone call discussing the initial order placement and the emailed invoice, it's been all texts.
