There's not enough bandwidth for what's happening.
    Billy is a standup guy.

EVERY good fab shop is behind RIGHT NOW. Usually because of CNC troubles, change in CNC subs, change in equipment, change in shop location, etc.

Custom means time, many times longer than the "hoped for date".

I had a brief conversation with Scotty at AOR today, I know he's getting flack about being behind, but it's a conscious decision he made to keep quality above par. All of the good guys (ie Brute Force) are like that ...

Quality trumps everything including extended production times.

Deal with it or buy an ARB bumper.

Nobody is arguing that :notsure: I never said that he shouldn't be behind.. I get that things come up, suppliers flake, machines break, but a tiny bit of communication goes a longggggg ways. If you need to extend the deadline its fine but at least keep the customer in the loop.

A simple phone call or email explaining would put me completely at ease.

Or Pelfrey, IIRC Sconniehailer got his bumper in under 3 months and it was powder coated too.

Then there is Eddy. I may go with him after someone takes his bumper out and runs into things.

How about anyone who does happen to get a hold of billy in the next few days, maybe mention that a few of the Alaskan guys have been trying to get a hold him to no avail...

I'm still a Brute Force FTW! kinda fella', but I'm not gonna go on and on about it.

I've tried to offer a few different ways to get a hold him, that's all. Just trying to help out.

If I had replied to this thread just a few days ago it would have gone a different direction however my hybrid bumper did finally come in, that being today. I ordered march third and it was shipped 2 weeks ago. If I had called him for an update rarely would he answer then but always call back but this last week I had called to try and get a tracking number since shipping seemed like it was taking forever (3 hours away driving) through fastenal and he never answered or even replied. That did scare me but the bumper did come. Hopefully you get a hold of him and your bumpers.

Wow, this thread has gone sideways a bit.

So to clarify, Billy sent me my final invoice in January with the expectation of being done with every ones stuff soon after. I called and left a message in the end of March to get my stuff shipped separate but did not hear back.

    So a few things:

    A) Billy is a nice guy and was always extremely easy to talk to once on the phone.

    B) I've yet to see any of his work in person but from the reviews I've read and the pictures I've seen he makes great stuff!

    C) His communication could be improved on. I just got off the phone with Billy and this is one aspect of his business he is trying to work on. It also sounds like he just brought another individual in to help with some stuff so this should help out some.

So yes, I did just get off the phone with Billy and he expects to have our stuff on its way next week!

This thread was not meant to bash Billy, lynch him or whatever. I was just trying to merely let other people know what my personal experience has been so that they could make their own decisions.

It will be OK fella's just be very patient, "patients is bitter but it's fruit is sweet". I had a custom bumper made by Billy it took longer because he is working most of the time by himself but what it boils down to is I now own one of the best made and one of the best looking custom plate bumpers on the road. Let me put it to you this way although waiting is frustrating I would have waited even longer for the way that bumper is made and looks. It is one BAD ASS MOTHER FUCKING BUMPER and there is not another one out their like it, I LOVE MY BUMPER. I hope this helps you to will feel the same, just be very patient, very.
