Has anyone had an issue doing the stupid wire thing in the connector port ? I think this is the dumbest thing ever. I couldn't get it to work.

Much easier to use a scan tool or scagauge to read transmission temp (needs to be 95-113F with the engine running to check) but the jumper method works too.

Just use an IR temp gun on the pan. It’s close enough

Concur on the IR reading. I’ve compared it to my UltraGuage readout and IR reading averages 1-3 degrees off, on hotter side. Probably cause IR is more immediate.

I did my tranny filter around 80k along with a new gasket. Easy to do. The jumper wire process to check the temp level is pretty easy with the instructions.

I think I used a paper clip to jump the wire terminals. A scan gauge with a temp readout would be much easier. I need to do mine again soon along with the filter. Currently at 72k.
