Well, a few different things honestly. They are a huge pain sometimes and 1 or 2 others were easy. I basically grinded the heads off the rivets, used a 3/8" drill bit and drilled 1/2 way through, torched a little, then air hammered until it came out. It's a good time.

I'm gonna tackle this tomorrow. Gonna do the same except I'm thinking of removing the bed cause I'm also doing the BAMF shock relocation also.

So ran into some issues with the ATO shackle flip. It sits back far enough where if you have the tow package, it won't bolt up flush because the tow frame is in the way so I had to cut the front ears off of it. Second issue is the bottom holes don't line up with the factory rivet holes so I had to reem them out. Painting now and will put everything back together tomorrow. Not a pretty job.

Omg this Gators offense, finally. Sometimes I like to talk college football. I need a cool gators sticker for the truck, that makes it build related right?

Wife and I were talking about that. Night and day difference compared to the past couple years. Not watching run up the middle and passes short of the first down marker is great!

Alright, finally finished my shackle flip. Extremely happy with ride height and droop. I put it on the fork lift and looks like I'll need to extend my bump stops by an 1" at most.

Oh, and all my vibrations are now gone!!!!! Stoked.

Here's pics of ride height, the Dakar's have slight positive arch. Shackle angle is good. When drooped the shackle sits just before the 90 degree mark so worked out well.

It was a tough job by myself, not pretty no matter who or how you do it. Worth it imo though.

My Dakars now have just top overload removed and gives me 3/4"-1" take over my front height. Did I mention no more vibes?

    Nice rig man!

What shackle are you running with your new setup? What made you choose that one vs. a longer one?

I have a flip kit to install and am trying to decide on shackles now. Also debating shock relocate. Seems like it may not be needed or necessary, especially for minimal gains.

Pull the shocks and cycle the axle. And compare true droop vs your shock. You may be leaving some shock on the table.

I have the HD ATO shackle stock length because I wasn't sure how much more shock I had. Looking at it I could get a little longer shackle but I need my rear shocks rebuilt and made longer. The Dakars limit me as well.

Yea I debated shock relocation but I don't think it's worth the $$$ for what I'm doing with it.

I am, could get a 4.5" shackle and that would be cutting it close. Think I'm going to get ATO to custom make a length for me when I get better numbers.

    What shock are you running?
You are running rubicon express 5" shackles?

10.875" stroke Icons and XJ shackle.

You can get more out of the pack by pulling a couple of the leaf clamps. Next time it's at full droop you'll see what I mean.

Hopefully that answered all your questions from the PM. Got tied up yesterday and forgot it was in my inbox.
