    So I might have missed it, but how did you install the flatlink instead of the hook that comes on the winch?

    Its just a pin that goes through the end eyelet on the winch line, super simple

    Depends on how the factory hook is installed, i had to cut the winch line to get my Smittybuilt hook off because its forged, then just respliced it and put on the flat link like @ChandlerDOOM said.

    You could also take a grinder to cut off the hook if you didnt want to resplice the line

    Oh your line came permanently attatched to the hook, that's odd. My hook is basically the same as the factor 55, I keep it in the truck in case I can only use the hook

    I would just cut that hook off personally, or cut the line and buy the factor 55 splicer that's in the classifieds right now and use that because it requires you to cut and splice your line anyways plus it has the different hole so you can put a d ring in either way (forward/backward)

    Was researching and found craigFLA's "2nd Gen DIY Big Brake KIt -OEM parts" thread.
    Posted the question, "has anyone installed w/17" wheels"?
    Apparently, you be da guy. Couple questions for ya, if ya could.
    Have you had your stock 17" TRD Sport wheels on with the brake upgrade, or only your SR8's?
    If you've only had your SR8's on with the brake upgrade, might you know their inside diameter?
    I've gotta fast track this and get parts ordered, would love to go this route, but have limited research time available.
    Was getting ready to order parts when I found the DIY thread
    Oh, also, did you order the Brands and Part Numbers as craigFLA posted them in his thread?

    Ordered the exact same parts as in the OP for the brake upgrade. My wheels have an inside diameter of 17". I have about an inch between the wheel and the brake dust shield to give you an idea; you shouldnt have any problems.

    Whats up dude! 34 is a great size; going to 35 to gain a little bit more clearance on the diff and driveshaft since a couple of trails i like i would benefit from. Dont get the toyo at2 for rocks/harder trails, theyre horrible, they serve well with a lot of road and basic overlanding; for a lot of trail time ive been disappointed. The cooper st max definitely outperform them and they just released a 34 size not too long ago!

    That was also my experience with the tire. Good at what is was made for, but just doesn't have the void space to make them good at clearing debris. But HOLYSHIT it was a loooong wearing tire. I had 45K on mine when I sold the truck. No doubt there was 20k left in them, probably more.
