Alright, so the build has been at a little bit of a stall, but no worries, more money will be spent this fall/winter. Giving serious thought to 35s, only thing holding me back is if I have to cut my @Pelfreybilt hi clearance rear to prevent rubbing, even so, I may still do it. The truck will be paid off in one month, so considering pelfrey weld on sliders to get rid of these bolt ons, a pelfrey gas skid, bushwhacked fenders, and a ARB snorkel. All this November getting ready for next wheeling season. Also, @SCSPerformance is coming out with the 17" 3.5" BS F5's that I really like so may go that route for the 35s as well.

Any and all opinions welcome. I'm actually at a Dixie chicks concert with my wife and her friends and am bored AF, so let's brainstorm.

The catch is Bayside and Menzingers play the next night in Charlotte, those are my favorite bands, so they get to sit through that shit!

really just wondering if anyone had a pelfreybilt hi clearance rear if they had to cut to fit 35s, I mean the whole reason I'm going through this process is because I run the 34s and a lot of the fender and frame is being eaten currently. If I can run the 35s with just a bit more cutting, me cutting more I'm ok with that.

Have fun at the concert?
I went with the Pelfry bolt on sliders like you, because I didn't have the courage to weld on my truck when it was brand new. Now as the truck ages, I want weld on sliders too. Why not take off the sliders you already have, cut off the heavy bolt on parts, then weld them back on. Maybe add a few stiffeners, and you're good to go.

    Scenery was nice.

I thought about that, but my current sliders are all pro hrew, want to get the pelfrey with the fill plates, need those fill plates so my dogs don't get their feet hung between the slider and truck when jumping in.

Makes sense. You can make a little money back selling the old ones too.

i aint going to run 35s, but my pelfreyHC does extend forward of the metal fender, since they come standard to fit the plastic flares, which have been removed. i've idly thought about trimming the bumper to metal, but with 33 i don't have any clearance issue on rear as is. seems like a bumper trim would be no big thing

I've read through @DefconBrix page and he had Pelfrybilt shorten his hi clearance bumper by 2" I believe which messed with his 2" fender cut in order to fit 35" tires on 17" wheels. I could text Tyler Pelfrey today and ask him for you, it you like.

Also just got my Pelfrybilt sliders w/ fill plates, in Friday. I went bolt on though didn't want to go through the welding process.
